Does BitStarz accept players from Canada?

Yes, per its own terms. Clause 3.6, the “Restricted Countries List”, names neither Canada nor any province, Ontario included.[1] The terms we read were last updated June 25, 2025. The number comes from its own terms, not a review site.

Two limits apply to Canadian accounts. The terms say “Players from Canada are not eligible to play the games from NYX”. Two slots, Vikings and Street Fighter, “must not be offered” in Canada.[1] The rest of the lobby carries no Canada restriction in the same document.

CAD is one of seven account currencies in its FAQ.[6] Its bonus terms also quote the max bet and the no-deposit cap in CAD, so you’re not converting in your head.[2]

One caveat from our side: we read these pages from a Mexican IP, and the site serves different versions by location. What the cashier shows from a Canadian IP is next on our list.

The cashier: two fees, not one

Every crypto cashout can carry two charges: the casino’s own fee and the blockchain network’s fee. Here are both, in each direction.

Casino fee. Its payments page shows 0% on crypto deposits and withdrawals.[5] The terms put it in writing: “Neither We, nor our payments processor will charge any fees in regards to your withdrawal.”[1]

Network fee. The network charges whoever sends the coins. On a deposit, that’s your wallet or exchange. On a withdrawal, BitStarz is the sender, and its terms say no fee reaches you.

What the network costs on your deposit

Bitcoin prices its fee by transaction size in bytes, not by the amount you send.[8] At 11:56 UTC on September 26, 2026, the next-block estimate was about 1.1 sat/vB.[9] That’s a quiet network; the rate climbs with demand for block space.

From a Canadian exchange, the fee can be zero to you. Shakepay’s normal-speed Bitcoin send takes about 12 hours and is free, because “Shakepay covers network fees”. The fast option, about 10 minutes, has fees.[12]

USDT on TRON is priced in energy and bandwidth instead. Across 50 confirmed USDT transfers on September 26, each used either 64,285 or 130,285 energy, plus about 345 bytes.[11] A wallet with no staked TRX burns about 6.8 TRX for the smaller figure, roughly C$3.23 at the day’s rate. The other minimums on its payments page: 10 USDC, 0.05 SOL, 20 DOGE, 5 XRP, 0.02 BCH and 8 ADA.[5] Bitcoin is listed with Lightning as well. The page text doesn’t name the USDT networks, so match the network in the cashier with your wallet before you send. Conversions use CoinGecko’s rates at 11:53 UTC that day.[14]

The $50 floor and the 1x rule

The $50 minimum withdrawal is the figure to plan around.[5] At about C$119,056 per BTC on September 26, 2026, C$50 is roughly 0.00042 BTC.[14] For lower crypto minimums on the way out, compare the 7Bit Casino review.

One rule applies before any cashout: each deposit is “subject to wagering 1x”, an anti-money-laundering step in its terms.[1] Deposit C$100, and you play through C$100 before withdrawing.

Its terms also name Interac among e-wallet withdrawal methods for players who deposit in US dollars.[1] The payments page we saw from a non-Canadian IP didn’t list it.[5] Whether a Canadian account sees Interac is on our list to check.

Funding BitStarz from a Canadian exchange

Here is one route with Shakepay, using figures from both sides’ own pages.

  1. Fund the exchange. An Interac e-Transfer into Shakepay is free, from $5 to $10,000.[12]
  2. Buy enough Bitcoin. The BitStarz minimum is 0.0001 BTC,[5] about C$11.91 on September 26, 2026.[14] Shakepay’s own minimum send is ₿0.00005, so the casino’s floor is the one that binds.[12]
  3. Copy the deposit address. Open the BitStarz cashier, pick Bitcoin and copy the address. If Lightning shows as a separate option, pick the one your wallet actually supports.
  4. Choose the speed. Normal speed, about 12 hours, is free; fast, about 10 minutes, has fees.[12] Its payments page lists crypto deposits as instant once they arrive.[5]

Wealthsimple’s help centre puts the risk plainly: crypto withdrawals are irreversible, and it suggests testing a small amount first.[17] The same habit works for any first transfer to a casino address.

How fast BitStarz says it pays

BitStarz states its payout speed in two places, with different precision. Its FAQ says the “average cashout time is of 10 minutes”.[6] Its terms are more careful: the casino “shall try to pay out withdrawals within 1 hour”.[1] Both are its own figures. We haven’t timed a withdrawal of our own yet.

The clock keeps running after BitStarz sends, so compare networks, not casino speed. A Bitcoin block arrives about every 10 minutes on average, though any single block can come sooner or later.[8] Then your exchange waits for its own number of confirmations.

KYC: when BitStarz asks for documents

BitStarz doesn’t publish an amount below which crypto play skips ID checks. So it isn’t “anonymous”: its terms describe a KYC procedure with photo ID, proof of address no older than 90 days, and proof of payment.[1] A phone call can be part of it.

Its FAQ says documents are requested at withdrawal and “verified within 12 hours time”, mostly within one hour.[6] The practical move is to upload all three before your first cashout, not during it. Pick an address document dated within the last 90 days.

The rules that decide whether it’s worth taking all sit in its bonus terms:[2]

  • Wagering: 40x (clause 3.4).
  • Time limit: 7 days (clause 3.7).
  • Maximum bet while a bonus is active: 5 CAD (clause 3.10).
  • Free spins: delivered 20 a day, no code needed (clauses 2.2 and 2.7).

After the four deposits, a Monday reload of 50% up to $300 and Wednesday free spins open up (clause 2.10).[2]

Its own site contradicts itself twice. The home page’s meta text says “5 BTC + 200 FS”; the bonuses and promotions pages say 180.[7][3]

And the VIP section of the bonuses page promises “No max cash out or max bet on any of the many bonuses we offer”.[3] Clause 3.10 sets the 5 CAD max bet anyway, with no VIP exception written in. We score the bonus terms, because they’re the document with clause numbers.

BitStarz no deposit bonus: 20 spins for your email

The no-deposit offer is simple to claim: “Verify email address & claim 20 free spins”.[3] No deposit, no code. Canada isn’t on the list of countries excluded from it (clause 1.6).[2]

BitStarz bonus codes: do you need one?

No, per its own documents. The welcome spins arrive 20 a day with no code (bonus terms, clauses 2.2 and 2.7).[2] The no-deposit spins come from verifying your email.[3]

That’s why this page lists no codes: none of the offers in its terms asks for one. Whatever the cashier shows, the wagering and caps above come from the bonus terms.

Games and provably fair

Its home page advertises “6500+ Games”.[7] Among them are its own Originals: Plinko, Mines, Chick-n-Run, Tower and others. Its FAQ calls the SoftSwiss games “100% provably fair” and points to a “Provability” button for checking a round.[6]

Licence and operator

BitStarz is not licensed in Canada; it holds a Curaçao licence (OGL/2024/165/0185) according to its own terms and footer.[1][7] The operator named in clause 1.2 is Gareton B.V., registration number 160656, Willemstad, Curaçao. Its footer carries a copyright line starting in 2014.[7]

The footer text changes with location, so the version a Canadian IP sees is on our list. One more line from the terms worth knowing: an account left inactive for six months starts paying a monthly fee, from about C$8.[1] That’s the figure in its terms, converted at the Bank of Canada rate of September 25, 2026.[16]

Is BitStarz down, or is it blocked?

Most “BitStarz is down” moments are one of three things. Here’s how to tell them apart with facts from its own pages.

  1. A country-block screen. Canada isn’t on its restricted list (clause 3.6).[1] If you see a block from Canada, check whether a VPN or proxy is on: the site serves different versions by location. Ours, from a Mexican IP, opened in another language.
  2. Nothing loads at all. Try a second connection, such as mobile data instead of home Wi-Fi. If neither loads, the problem is likely on its side.

My verdict

BitStarz scores 9.3 on our seven checks, the top of our list. Its terms answer the questions that cost money: no casino fee, a stated 10-minute average cashout, and no Canadian province on its restricted list. My recommendation: use it as a crypto cashier first, funded with Bitcoin from a Canadian exchange. A normal-speed Shakepay send costs you nothing in network fees. The condition: take the welcome bonus only if 40x in 7 days, at 5 CAD a spin, fits how you actually play.
